As a result, she started exploring different sectors. While pursuing a diploma in pre-primary teacher training from National Academy, she started enjoying teaching kids. She came to the conclusion that she wanted to work with students, guiding them and mentoring them in their endeavors.
As a mother, Bhumika understands the worries that parents face for their children when choosing a career for their future. Despite the abundance of courses and career options available, there was a severe lack of pertinent information about them, which led to confusion. She recognized the importance of a guide who would provide relevant information about the varied courses and career options and assist them in choosing the one that best fits their interests.
Further, she realized that even though there are numerous career guides, most of them lack quality guidance and mentoring. As a result, she discovered from her experience that there is a huge disconnect between what parents and students anticipate from counsellors and what they get. She decided to become a career counsellor to bridge the gap and ease students' journeys as much as possible. She works with students as a career counsellor to help them choose careers that are in line with their interests and their parents' expectations.
